Inclusion & Acknowledgement

Waterloo Infant Toddler Daycare Association would like to acknowledge that the land on which we have settled and learned is part of the Haldimand Tract, Dish with One Spoon Wampum Agreement, which is the traditional territory of the Anishnaabeg, Haudenosaunee, and the Neutral Peoples. WITDA strives to teach children about making connections to nature and the land by learning through exploration in both our indoor and outdoor environments.  Our hope is to help children learn about the impact of their ecological footprint and how to become stewards of the land we live on.

WITDA is committed to providing an inclusive, welcoming, and supportive environment where every child and family feels respected and valued. We recognize that each child has unique abilities and needs, and we strive to provide appropriate support and accommodations based on their age, development, and individual requirements.

Our educators work closely with families to understand each child’s needs and support their participation, learning, and well-being within our programs. We recognize that accessibility may look different for each child and that individualized support can help children participate fully.

We are also committed to improving the accessibility of our website and digital information. We strive to make our online content, navigation, forms, and documents accessible and follow recognized practices, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

Accessibility is an ongoing commitment. We welcome feedback from children, families, staff, and community members and work to identify and address accessibility barriers and opportunities for improvement.
