WITDA Outdoor Facilities
Four campuses, four unique outdoor spaces — every WITDA building offers children daily access to fresh air, natural materials, and room to run, climb, dig, and discover.
Outdoor play is a core part of every child's day at WITDA. Each of our four buildings has its own fenced outdoor space, thoughtfully designed with a mix of natural materials — sand, logs, and turf — alongside traditional play structures like slides, tunnels, and climbers.
Children explore sensory elements such as musical instruments built into the yard, mud kitchens, chalkboards, and loose parts like tires and stumps, encouraging imaginative and open-ended play. Covered shelters and picnic areas also give children a comfortable place to rest, eat, and gather as a group when they're outside.
Our outdoor play goals
- Provide daily opportunities for active, physical play
- Offer natural materials that invite open-ended exploration
- Support sensory development through sound, texture, and movement
- Maintain safe, fully fenced spaces at every campus
- Encourage imaginative and social play among children
